Under the direction of Dr. Terry Roberts, this ensemble features string players from North and South Carolina. The concert will feature the ensemble with Ann Rodgers Chandler on the harpsichord performing the complete “Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi. Inspired by landscape paintings by Italian artist Marco Ricci, Vivaldi composed the “Four Seasons” roughly between 1720 and 1723. This is probably Vivaldi’s most famous work honoring four descriptive sonnets for each season. Other loved works will be included in the program.
